Roomers Sideboard

A sideboard-sometimes called a buffet cabinet-is a versatile storage piece designed for dining rooms. It provides both enclosed storage and countertop workspace, making it a convenient spot to store tableware, serving dishes, and dry food items while offering a surface for food preparation or displaying decorative pieces. We offer both modular standard sideboards and fully custom solutions, with each design tailored to your dining room dimensions and functional needs. Available in two forms-low-profile buffet style or tall sideboard cabinet-the unit can stand independently or be installed against a wall. The countertop is suitable for placing small appliances like coffee machines or water dispensers.

The sideboard uses a frameless European-standard cabinet construction, with long countertops and wide shelves fitted with anti-sagging reinforcement. Appliance positions receive additional support, and tall cabinet sections include anti-warp bracing. For unsupported countertops, single-span width is recommended to stay within 1200mm to ensure stability under load. The cabinet body is constructed from 18mm multi-layer plywood or particleboard, with back panels available in 9mm or 18mm thickness, and all cut edges sealed with PUR adhesive and PVC or ABS edge banding for moisture protection. Door panels are available in multi-layer solid wood or melamine-coated OSB, finished with PU or water-based paint that achieves a hardness of 2H or above.

Inside the sideboard, you can choose from a combination of closed cabinets, adjustable shelving, and drawers. Glassware, serving platters, and table linens can be stored neatly behind closed doors, while everyday items stay on open shelves for easy access. The countertop provides a convenient workspace for food preparation or serving, and the overall design helps keep the dining area tidy and well-organized. Tall sideboard cabinets can reach up to 2400mm in height, while standard buffet height ranges from 850mm to 1100mm.

Sideboard components ship in flat-pack format with pearl cotton wrapping, corner protectors, and an outer carton. On-site assembly is required-factory installation is not included. For tall sideboards, a tip-over restraint should be installed by the customer during assembly for safety. The factory supports both EXW and FOB trade terms.
