Modern Minimalist Makeup Table

A makeup table in a bedroom often sits against a wall, between a wardrobe and a bed, or inside a walk-in closet. That position decides how it should be installed. This modern minimalist makeup table has a desktop fixed at 750 mm, with standard outer dimensions of 800–1200 mm long, 400–550 mm wide, and 750 mm high. The mirror version reaches 1500–1800 mm in total height, and the matching mirror is normally 400 × 300 × 450 mm. Every size can be produced to customer drawings.

Before drilling, confirm whether the wall is concrete, brick, or a lightweight partition. For lightweight walls, use suitable anchors and do not rely only on the standard screws. Because the mirror version can reach 1800 mm, the wall must carry the upper section safely. If the table is placed in a hotel guest room, club, or showroom, add an anti-tip fitting where the unit is tall or narrow.

The table is slim, but drawers still need space. Keep 50–80 mm clearance from the wardrobe or side wall so drawers open fully. If the table sits next to a bed, check that the drawer front does not conflict with the bedside area. Mark the mirror center line before drilling. The mirror is usually 400 × 300 × 450 mm, so a small offset is easy to see.

Panels arrive flat-packed and pre-drilled. The body and back are 18 mm plywood, which keeps the frame rigid during assembly. Three-in-one eccentric fittings are already prepared, so no on-site drilling is needed. Start with the cabinet body, then attach the back panel, then place the desktop. Do not fully tighten all fittings until the unit is square.

Drawers run on three-section silent slides tested through 50,000 open-and-close cycles. After installation, test each drawer through a full cycle. If a drawer feels tight, adjust the slide position instead of forcing it. Hinges are rust-proof galvanized, salt-spray tested for at least 72 hours, and rated for at least 80,000 cycles. Adjust the hinge screws until the gaps are even.

After assembly, check the desktop static load of at least 50 kg and the drawer performance under a 10 kg vertical load without permanent deformation. Confirm outer dimension tolerance of ±2 mm and hole processing tolerance of ±0.5 mm, matching the EU EN1335 furniture dimensional accuracy standard. Check edge banding for glue overflow or lifting, and confirm the mirror is vertical and centered.
